Playing with PlayShapes

I've been captivated by Miller Goodman PlayShapes for a while and bought E a set for her birthday. There are 74 pieces which can be used to make different designs - Z loves making trains and planes and E makes hearts and colour-matches the pieces. I considered carefully whether to buy them as they are £74.95, but they are beautifully made using non-toxic colour and rubberwood, so the quality is great. They are also more sophisticated than a standard block set with curved shapes and asymmetrical pieces. The wonderful thing is that their appeal covers all ages - V loves turning the different pieces over, E enjoys making simple shapes and Z is old enough to enjoy reproducing designs on the box. If you live in Bristol they are available from The Pippa and Ike Show (more on this fab shop coming soon) or online at at the lovely Sisters Guild.
