A Cornish beach in February

We spent the weekend in Cornwall visiting Granny and Poppa. On Saturday we went to Polkerris Beach. I used to think beaches were only worth visiting in high summer but wrapped up in waterproofs, coats and wellies Z and E had a great time and there's the added luxury of having the beach to ourselves. We explored rock pools and caves and ran in the shallow surf before heading to the Rashleigh Inn for hot chocolates to warm us up.

  1. Hello! I wondered where you had got to. Sounds like a lovely weekend, I love Cornwall... sigh. Thanks for the comment about Ru, he's getting better. The hornsea sounds brill, but sadly no cash to spend... £14 seems steep too. I think they are on to cool stuff down our road. We may have to scout out some new charity shops! Hope you are all well. Lou xx

  3. Ooh, nice. Cornwall is one of my "dream places" to visit some day (mostly thanks to Joan Aiken novels read during my impressionalble years)...we never go to the beach in winter, but you migh just have inspired a trip!
